Milford, OH, June 9, 2016 – International TechneGroup Limited (ITI), the global leader providing reliable interoperability, validation and migration solutions for product data and related systems, will be participating at AIAA Aviation 2016 in Washington, D.C. June 13-17. ITI is providing a panelist for the “Open Issues in Meshing in 2030” conference session and will also be presenting geometry morphing work undertaken in support of the CFD Drag Prediction Workshop.

Dr Geoffrey Butlin, founder and CEO of ITI’s UK operation and the CADfix development office, is a panelist for the “Open Issues in Meshing in 2030” session where industry leaders will be discussing the critical issues faced by the aerospace industry as they tackle the design, advanced simulation and optimization of future aircraft.

“ITI fulfills a very specific, very critical, yet very niche role within the aerospace and defense product development process. When we are involved with distinguished industry leaders on a panel like the one at AIAA, it helps position ITI as a clear leader in our field. It also allows us to give others a closer look at how we help our customers overcome key industry challenges, through partnering on advanced technology development projects and the delivery of innovative solutions to tackle complex CAD and CAE integration issues,” commented Dr. Butlin.

Mark Gammon, ITI UK Technical Director, will be at AIAA in support of a presentation in the Transonic & Supersonic Aerodynamics conference session describing the development of deformed CAD geometries for NASA's Common Research Model for the sixth AIAA CFD Drag Prediction Workshop (DPW). ITI has supported the DPW with geometry cleaning for the wind-tunnel aircraft CAD model, and the application of CADfix morphing technology to generate deformed CAD models based on displacement data from wind-tunnel testing.

“With solutions like CADfix, CADIQ and Proficiency, ITI is at the forefront of constantly changing technologies and aerospace industry demands around making CAD geometry and data easily accessible and useable by stakeholders across the product development process,” added Don Hemmelgarn, Senior EVP of C3 Interoperability Solutions, ITI. “While the AIAA event allows us to present success stories and to connect one-to-one with some of our longstanding partners and customers, it opens the door to discussions about new challenges from companies who face similar challenges but with whom we have not yet had the opportunity to work.”

ITI has extensive experience helping organizations to enhance their product development process through CAD data exchange and migration and welcomes discussions during the AIAA event.

About AIAA

Recognizing that there was no one venue that brought the aviation industry together to address challenges and future direction with a broad, integrating view of the aviation marketplace, AIAA and The Boeing Company started partnering in 2010 to develop a new event. The objective was to develop the premier forum for presentation of both recent progress on aircraft design, air traffic management and operations, and aviation technologies as well as policy, planning, and market issues affecting the future direction of the global aviation industry. The goal was to offer a unique venue for interaction between researchers, system developers, product support personnel, managers, and business developers from throughout industry, government, and academia. The AIAA Aviation and Aeronautics Forum and Exposition (AIAA AVIATION) has continued to grow in each succeeding year, drawing participants from around the globe. Plenary and Forum 360 participants tackled the most pressing issues impacting the future of aviation, while the technical program presented innovative research and technologies that offer solutions.
