ITI and LEMMA partner for a customized CFD clean-up solution: CADfixforLEMMA

Cambridge, UK, 13 June 2019 – International TechneGroup Limited (ITI),  developers of the CADfixTM CAD geometry translation and repair software, have partnered with LEMMA, creators of ANA*, an engineering analysis software suite. The new agreement is for the delivery of a customized CFD geometry clean-up solution called CADfixforLEMMA to the ANA* analysis community.

Located in the French Riviera, LEMMA is a scientific consulting company and software supplier with unique expertise in Computational Fluid and Structure Dynamics (CFSD). As part of their ANA* Suite, LEMMA develops ANAMESH, a fully integrated toolbox used for mesh generation. Using the CADfixforLEMMA solution, ANAMESH customers can import CAD files from multiple formats, repair and clean-up the geometry, and then export a STEP file ready for CFD meshing. The deployment of CADfixforLEMMA to repair and simplify CAD models before import to CAE reduces analysis lead times and results in increased accuracy.

“With CADfix we offer fully automated 3D translation and repair from various CAD formats to the ANA* Suite,” states Andy Chinn, Managing Director at ITI’s UK CADfix development office. “There is significant demand for geometry clean-up in the CFD process, where it dramatically reduces lead times and frees up engineers to focus on analysis and product optimisation. Engineers using CADfixforLEMMA will spend less time manually repairing CAD models before meshing for CFD.”

“We have partnered with other interoperability providers in the past,” commented Ivan Schrooyen, Director of Engineering at LEMMA. “ITI is the first to be able to meet all of our client’s requirements, such as support for both Windows and Linux. We appreciate the robustness of the CADfix solution, and the expertise of the ITI team. We have already deployed CADfixforLEMMA to great effect with customers in the Marine industry, where we are using ANA* to assess ship performance. CADfix was able to rapidly import our clients’ CAD geometry and prepare it for meshing and simulation. We look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership.”

“We are excited to bring CADfixforLEMMA to the LEMMA user community,” concluded Chinn. “Our partnership represents an excellent opportunity for both companies. Looking further ahead we are keen to explore the potential for a closer integration and the deployment of other CADfix advanced geometry processing technology with the ANA* Suite of software.”
