Milford, Ohio, 31 March 2016 – International TechneGroup Incorporated (ITI), the global leader providing reliable interoperability, validation and migration solutions for product data and related systems, is pleased to announce their selection for Best Presentation Award by COE, at their Annual PLM Experience & TechniFair, April 10-13 in San Antonio, Texas. ITI teamed with Inceptra in 2015 to deliver a feature-based CAD conversion solution for a large aerospace supplier migrating from Solid Edge to CATIA. The group presented their results entitled, “Expanding CATIA in the Enterprise: Lessons Learned Migrating from Mid-Range CAD”, which was voted by COE attendees as one of the year’s most outstanding presentations.
Moving data while maintaining history, features and drawings poses an important challenge for manufacturers, especially in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Closing the quality gap through verification and validation is essential to preserving intellectual property in 3D models, building internal credibility, meeting regulatory requirements and ensuring downstream reuse. Proficiency, CADIQ and CADfix are vendor-neutral interoperability solutions offered by ITI that support data migration and validation from models designed in the major CAD systems, including CATIA.
Tony Provencal, ITI’s Technical Sales Director, comments, “COE is an excellent opportunity each year for ITI to connect with Dassault customers, many of whom we have helped with successful CAD and PLM migrations. This year we look forward to hearing about the progress customers are making in regards to MBD, discussing new “just in time” options for our Proficiency solution, reviewing CATIA validation projects, and offering guidance to users as they redefine business processes with the 3D EXPERIENCE platform.”
ITI has sponsored the annual COE event for over twenty years. With the majority of Aerospace and Defense manufacturers using CATIA, COE is a prime event with ITI’s largest market segment in attendance. ITI actively works with Dassault customers deploying interoperability solutions such as Proficiency, CADIQ and CADfix to streamline migration and collaboration processes, helping to ensure customers get optimum value from their PLM investments.
ITI’s latest technical brief “Recommendations for Managing Legacy CATIA Data,” will be available at the COE event. “This paper details specific recommendations that have been successful for our clients,” noted James Flerlage, EVP, Global Business Development. “ITI has proven solutions for upgrading CATIA V4 mock-up solids to exact CATIA V5 solids, for populating CATIA drawing information as 3D MBD, and for validating that 3D CAD and PMI transformations are consistent and accurate for downstream consumers.”
Experienced ITI consultants will be at Booth #304 where customers can learn more about how to migrate and validate their CATIA data. To register for the COE conference, visit: http://www.coe.org/2016conference
