On the 26th of October 2017, Bloodhound SSC will be attempting to reach speeds of 200mph on the first of three test days taking place at Cornwall Airport in Newquay, UK. This marks an important milestone for the team in their quest to get the car up to 1000mph and break the World Land Speed Record in 2018.
Did you know that CADfix was instrumental during the simulation phase of the project? The CADfix API enabled the Swansea University engineering department, who were responsible for aerodynamic simulation of the car, to integrate NX with FLITE reducing their rebuild time from a week to hours. Read more about CADfix's role in the Bloodhound Project in our case study.
