Measuring MBD Capabilities of CAD Systems & Translators
This one-hour webinar will describe how you can evaluate the effectiveness of your CAD systems and translators and their readiness for the Model-Based Enterprise (MBE). Examples from the recent NIST Test System for measuring conformance of CAD software to ASME standards for Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI), specifically geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) information, will be used.
This webinar will explore:
- - The creation of test models in CATIA, Creo, NX, and SolidWorks that include “real world” representative PMI
- - The verification process used to validate the semantic representation of the PMI concepts in these native CAD models
- - Export to standard derivative formats such as STEP, JT, and 3D PDF
- - The validation process of derivative models
