International TechneGroup Incorporated (ITI) announced today that their President, Don Hemmelgarn, has joined the Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI) Board of Directors.
AFEI is an industry association dedicated to the advancement of the sharing, integration, management and protection of information across extended enterprises (people, process and technology), with a focus on national security and defense issues. AFEI provides opportunities for industry and government personnel to discuss and share information on issues of immediate interest and importance to the community. AFEI (www.afei.org) is an affiliate subsidiary of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) (www.ndia.org), America’s leading defense industry association promoting national security.
ITI is a global company helping clients achieve world class product development productivity, providing interoperability solutions that enable companies to effectively exchange, reuse, integrate and share engineering product data among diverse software applications. ITI solutions are aimed directly at reducing and eliminating non-value-added time and costs associated with reusing product data.
Hemmelgarn has an extensive background in the development and application of product data interoperability technologies and solutions. He joined ITI in 1984 and has been the President of the interoperability business since 2002, where he manages business operations and interests throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as development projects that implemented translation software for major CAD/CAM system vendors.
In addition to his duties at ITI, Hemmelgarn serves as an Officer and Executive Committee member of the PDES Inc. Executive Board. PDES is an international industry/government consortium accelerating the development and implementation of ISO 10303 (STEP).
