The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) of NavAir discovers significant savings opportunities with the move to a model based definition (MBD) approach for technical data package acquisition (TDP). Moving to an MBD approach entails a combination of systems, solutions and partners. CADIQ is used to validate 3D model geometry at critical points in an MBD product development process.

Global Steering Systems (GSS), a world class supplier of automotive steering components, called on ITI to migrate Creo CAD files from Pro/INTRALINK to Teamcenter. "We couldn't have done this without ITI," stated Jamie Moneta, GSS IT Director. "The data migration went flawlessly. If I could do it again, I wouldn’t do anything differently. The ITI team worked closely with us and helped realize 100% of the expected value in our initial PLM investment.”

manroland AG developed an automated remastering strategy based on Proficiency, a process-focused automation tool specifically designed to support mass data transfer projects. The whole of manroland’s active database, some 100,000 drawings and models, were transferred from CATIA V4 to NX.

In December 2012 ITI received the Defense Manufacturing Technology Achievement Award from the Department of Defense (DoD) for technology contributed in the Customer/Supplier Interoperability (CSI) Program. The award is given annually for outstanding technical accomplishments which further the achievement of the DoD ManTech (Manufacturing Technology) Program. 

Deployed for the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, the CSI program addresses defense supply chain inefficiencies associated with technical data exchanges.

New developments in CADfix, ITI’s advanced geometry processing solution, delivered key breakthroughs in Additive Manufacturing (AM) geometry handling in the EU additive manufacturing initiative, Hyproline. The goal was to build a working demonstration of a high performance AM production line for small series metal parts.
